8 Easy Ways To Fight Fat
By Ali Carsen
Fat loss can seem like an overwhelming challenge, but with a few easy modifications in your daily life, you can be fit and healthy in no time. Follow the tips below to lose fat and keep it off.
Make breakfast the most important meal of the day.
Skipping breakfast can lead you on the fast track to gaining weight. Studies show that a healthy, hearty breakfast will keep you from overeating, as it controls your appetite and blood sugar during the day. Be sure to eat whole grain cereals and bran and avoid sugary cereals. For example, oatmeal is a wonderful breakfast that you can eat every day. As well as being a healthy whole grain food, oatmeal will also help to lower your blood pressure and keep your cholesterol in check.
Eat fresh fruits and vegetables.
Filling up on fresh fruits and vegetables is one of the easiest ways to fight fat. When choosing a healthy snack, choose fresh produce over sugary, processed snacks. If you eat out often, order salads to fill up before every meal.
Eat small meals more often.
Eating more often keeps your metabolism up, your blood sugar regulated, and your appetite under control. If possible, try to eat between five and six small meals each day every three hours.
Avoid overeating and starving yourself.
In the case of overeating, fat accumulation increases and in the other case, when you starve yourself, your body refuses to give up its stored fat.
Drink water.
Your body needs water to function properly, so be sure to get in at least the eight recommended glasses each day. You can flavor your water with lemon or other sugar free mixers available. Try to cut sugary carbonated drinks out of your diet, but it you must have them, stick with non-calorie drinks.
Exercise.
Making exercise a habit is one of the biggest gifts you could give to your body. Try to schedule at least 30 minutes of moderate to intense activity at least three times a week. If you're looking for an easy cardio exercise, try walking. It's simple, takes very little equipment, and is a great choice for getting in shape!
Weight training.
In addition to cardiovascular exercise, you should also include weight training in your overall fitness plan. Weight training will strengthen your muscles, causing you to burn more calories at rest. You can benefit greatly by including two or three 20 minute sessions per week.
Take supplements.
Shedding fat by taking supplements containing fats doesn't sound believable. However, it works. Taking one or two grams of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), a fat contained in a combination of sunflower and safflower seed oils, along with your meals every day, you may reduce your fat up to as much as 20% in about three months.
