Whatever menu you eventually come up with that suits you personally, a good rule of thumb is to eat small meals and often. This means starting with breakfast, which could be cereals with low fat milk, followed by toast with a thin layer of honey, or a low energy conserve, such as strawberry.
You want to be eating lean foods, which are rich in protein, so I would choose chicken breast for lunch. One cup of chopped or diced chicken, which is about 140 grams in weight and 230 calories in energy value. Serve this with mixed beans and salad, but leave out the salad cream as it is fattening.
Dinner could be a vegetarian burgher with a tomato, lettuce and coleslaw, followed by melon, which will help you lose weight, and is a really refreshing way to end a meal.
Snacks taken around these main meals could consist of natural fruits, such as strawberries, apples or bananas. It is better to give sweet foods a miss and rather to snack on foods, like fresh fruits, which are more satisfying and will fill you up for longer, as well as wean you off the taste of sugar, so it is definitely worth the effort.
Mix in a few fresh vegetables as well, and choose the ones you like best. By making healthy eating choices each day you will feel better, have more energy, and lose weight quicker.
