However, keeping excess pounds off can also be a snap, so long as you learn how to get your body to burn more fat naturally. The first thing that you need to understand is that your body is tremendously adaptable, and all of your dieting and exercising habits have an effect on its ability to lose weight. Keeping that in mind will make it easier to change those habits permanently.
The first step in how to get your body to burn more fat is to change your eating habits. That has less to do with what you eat (although that is obviously very important), and more to do with how often and how much you eat. The tricky thing about diets is that your body adjusts to them. When the body thinks it is at risk of starving, it automatically starts to hold on to its energy reserves (the fat!) stubbornly.
There are two easy ways around this. The first is to simply eat more, smaller meals per day. Then, the body feels it's getting a constant intake of food, so it doesn't go into storage mode. Secondly, vary your calorie intake each day. Eat reduced calories for a couple of days, and then "refuel" on every third day or so. This also keeps your body from thinking that your diet is actually starvation. Change your diet in these small ways, and you'll be surprised at how the fat just stays off.
