A lot of people try to lose their love handles with little success. This is particularly tragic when you consider the amount of time some of these people spend doing exercises which they "think" can help them to lose their love handles, but are in fact leading them to failure.
Why do so many people fail to lose love handles? Is it really that hard?
First of all, you should know that to eliminate love handles completely isn't the easiest thing in the world, but it can be done. Some people believe that they're genetically unable to accomplish this, but this is a false assumption. Most people can get that perfect, love handles free, waste line if they only knew what they were doing.
This is really the missing ingredient: knowledge. Most people do a lot of hard work at the gym, and they even try to eat right, yet they fail to lose their love handles. The reason is that they don't know what they're doing. They follow outdated exercise and dietary guidelines which were once believed to be true but which have been proven to be false. It's the same thing with abs exercises. Once it was believed that the sit-up was the greatest stomach exercise there is and now it's known that it's not very effective.
The same thing goes for losing love handles. Most people workout in the wrong way, trying to spot reduce fat from their waste line by doing all sorts of bends and diagonal crunches which may be good to tone up your muscles, but do very little to reduce the fat stored in your love handles.
The best thing you can do in order to lose your love handles is to invest in a good diet and fitness program, preferably a program which is focused on getting flat abs. If you have the money you can get a personal trainer, but this may turn out to be expensive, so a program is your best bet. I know nobody likes to spend money but if you've got a leaky faucet you'd call a plumber, right? Why not get a professional to help you with losing your love handles?
A good diet and fitness program can save you a lot of time in the gym and get you excellent results. Regardless of what your fitness goals are, don't go by outdated knowledge. Act on what the professionals suggest.
