Also make sure you don't skip breakfast. Studies have shown that people who skip breakfast are more likely to pig out later in the day. Think about it when you wake up your body has just gone a long time without any food so you should get a meal in so you are more energetic throughout the day.
Once you have started watching what you eat it is time to start exercising. It does not have to be big. Just start getting more physical activity in your day. You can start playing a sport. It could be just shooting hoops in your backyard.
If you really want to get a beach body then start going to the gym. Take things slow if you have no experience. Make sure you are able to do at least twenty push ups before moving on to the weights.
