The first rule of learning how to get rid of stomach fat is that when you lose weight, you can lose muscle, fat, or both. Just because you're losing weight doesn't necessarily mean it's a good thing.
This is why those who starve themselves to lose weight are being extremely detrimental to their bodies. They're just losing muscle weight!
The second rule of learning how to get rid of stomach fat is that, in about 99% of the cases, you aren't going to learn how to do it correctly unless you're willing to invest a few bucks in your health to learn how to truly do it.
I never understood this rule until about 2 years ago when I finally decided to pay $30 or $40 for a book that turned out to be the turning point in my health life. Since then I've been about 300% more lean and muscular than I used to be.
The third rule is that you must take whatever you learn and customize it to your own life. For example, if they're telling you to do "X" workout but that's too advanced, simply do less reps or less weight so you can do it!
If you follow these 3 rules you're on your way to a better body. Weight loss starts with determination and action. Knowledge soon follows because without knowing how to properly exercise or what food to eat, you'll make no progress.
So first understand the difference between losing weight and losing fat. Second, be willing to spend a few bucks if you want to actually lose weight. Third, take the general ideas you learn and customize them to your own life.
