How AWESOME are you? I can’t hear you. Jump up and down and wiggle your little (it is little, you know) hiney and shout “I am AWESOME, I am AWESOME, I am AWESOME, I am AWESOME, I am AWESOME. Now, I’ll ask again. How AWESOME are you? TOTALLY AWESOME….I heard you this time….WOW!!!


Our intention is to create this high vibrational energy each and every moment. A quote from Nelson Mandela illustrates this in showing you that you are an AWESOME child of God. I look at this quote each and every day when I do my energy circles. I encourage you to print this and tape it somewhere so that you see it everyday. Moving from fear into joy is a process, and there are activities that we can do each day to guide us in the right direction—our connection to God.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that We are powerful beyond measure.


It is our light, not our darkness That most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I To be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?


Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.

For today, don’t shrink. Don’t hide. Stand tall in who you are. Walk with confidence. Chest out, abs in…no rounded shoulders. Don’t forget to shake that hiney as you walk. I know, it’s kind of hard to shake and walk at the same time. Hey, I’m 50 years old and if I can do it, you can too. Let your light shine. You are brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous!!

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #22

Have you had an amazing transformation of self? Are you learning that your power lies in your thoughts? Remember whatever you think about you manifest so if you’ve manifested frustration, what have your thoughts been about? Turn your attention on what you do want and hold that attention and you will begin to vibrate there.


If you desire to feel vibrant and healthy and rid yourself of the excess weight, then focus on those things that are going to give you the outcome that you want. Surround yourself with the conditions and the people which will help you move towards your goal. If you find yourself spending time with people who aren’t health conscious and you end up slipping into what you don’t want, then what is the simple answer?


What I have found is that until you can be strong enough in your own sense of who you are, it’s important that you not be around people who don’t subscribe to a healthy lifestyle—or at least limit your exposure. Working on yourself with the daily work will be the key factor in helping you gain your power back so that you can be around people and not be affected by what they eat. In addition, you won’t be affected by their negative energy because you’re going to be vibrating at such a higher level.


Doing the daily work is crucial to your success to keep your thoughts vibrating at a higher level and sustaining that positive energy. You owe it to yourself to be empowered so that you take responsibility for your own health and well-being.


Have you ever said to yourself, “That person makes me so mad!” When you do this, you are giving your power to that person and thus are feeling the effects of that negative emotion in every part of your body. In some ways you keep telling yourself that you’ll wait until all the mean people leave the earth, then you’ll have peace. Guess what? It doesn’t work that way. Peace comes with practice in loving yourself enough then you’re not bothered by what people do or say. It’s simple but it does take daily practice because struggle has been our middle name. Ready to change your middle name?


Okay, I’ll admit that when I’m around negative people, I will revert to seven year old Tami who secretly sticks her tongue out, makes faces at them or desperately wants to moon them. Oh, that inner child that will get the best of me sometimes. I have to go sit in a corner and do some of my own daily work.


Now, commit to the daily focus on you. Your power lies within the daily work. Spend time with you today, okay?

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #20

Do you remember the movie, Bambi? During spring time all the animals begin to notice the opposite sex and the magic of “love” takes place. The word, twitterpaited, is used to illustrate this magical phenomenon. Well guess what, I am twitterpaited!!


As you know I am divorced and have a great relationship with my ex-husband. We share stories about our dating experiences and only desire happiness for each other.


For the past eight months, I have been dating on-line and it’s been a wonderful experience in practicing how to date again after twenty seven years. I am so grateful for these men who I have attracted and given me the opportunity to learn how to communicate better. Have I learned a lot? YES!!! Am I ready to write a book about my experiences? YES!!! I’ll share a funny story about one man who asked me if my teeth were my own. It seems that he had gone on a date and the woman had borrowed a friend’s false teeth. Pretty funny, huh? I have others to share, but I’ll save those for my book.


Remember how I’ve written about the Law of Attraction. Recently, I met someone who is absolutely incredible. He e-mailed me on the dating service and I wrote back that I love to laugh. Thus, I told him to make me laugh and that he would be graded. Of course, I expected that he would just send these knock, knock jokes, but he blew me away with his hilarious story about high school pranks. I was rolling on the floor with laughter. Then when I met him, I felt like I was in the presence of Robin Williams; I had to hold my cheeks as they hurt from laughing so hard. It’s a great feeling!


I’m sharing my story because I believe in the Laws of Attraction. Three years ago I wrote down the characteristics of the man I intended to attract--I got this idea from Tony Robbins, who is a motivational speaker. This man has all those characteristics. Each day I express gratitude for my great relationship knowing that I’m sending out that higher vibrational thought. I get to surrender this to God and leave it in His hands. I get to enjoy and live in the moment and it feels tremendous. Whatever you send out is what you will get back so why not make it positive?

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #19

I believe we have the most incredible opportunity to pay attention on purpose. I am always in awe and sometimes it takes my breath away to go outside in nature and just look around at what God has offered us.


I have a friend who is a wonderful spiritual partner and we routinely take walks down by the water. I live in the greater Seattle area so we're surrounded by this glorious water. On these walks, we talk about our opportunities for growth and help support each other by understanding and then giving guidance. Wayne Dyer is always with us as we contemplate and surrender.


We always stop and sit at the water's edge and really embrace God's gifts to us. Over the past month we have seen a seal six times. He surfaces and gently glides on top of the water, looks our way as if saying hello and then goes under water. He exudes absolute peace. The other day I was moved to tears as we watched him and my friend and I both said, "Thank you for teaching us about surrender." The other night we walked and saw two eagles flying overhead. The eagle represents surrender as well as it soars gently in the sky. As I'm writing this, I'm overcome with emotion seeing the beauty that is offered us each and every day.


We need to stop busying ourselves long enough to pay attention. It's as if God is saying, "Hello, anyone out there? I've created all these beautiful things for you. I'm CEO of the Universe and do a very good job at it. My job is not being vacated...ever...so stop trying to take it from me. Sit back and surrender! Besides why would you want a job that you don't get paid for?" This was a challenge for me as I so wanted to be CEO/Manager of the Universe taking care of everyone and leaving me last. It took a devastating illness for me to realize I really sucked at God's job. He kept telling me He was never going to give it up, but I was pretty stubborn saying, "Anything you can do, I can do better." Remember seven year old Tami who comes out occasionally. I've certainly changed and it has made all the difference. Are you getting the message?
Take five. For today go outside and stop, look and listen and just "be" for five short m

inutes--longer if you can. Look up at the sky and make clouds disappear. I actually did this yesterday and you can do it too. Concentrate on the cloud as if you're one with the cloud and watch as it disappears. A person whom I met at the Rapid Eye Institute taught me to do this. Open up all your senses and be aware. Listen to the birds chirping. Listen to the laughter of children. Dance--it's okay to shake your booty in public. I do. Smell the bloomin' flowers, why don't you--a bit of humor there.


Be!
I'm sending hugs and pink light to surround you with love and appreciation. You are the most awesome child of God destined for greatness. Your weight is lifted in more ways than one.

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #18

I listened to a spiritual program today that had a very powerful message. In fact, my exhusband knew I liked these programs, which had gone off the air last year, and he taped them and gave them to me as a Christmas present. It was the best gift!


When we're living from our ego (edging God out), we know we're not enough and everything keeps showing up for us to support this statement. When we're connected to God, we know we are enough and everything shows up for us to support this statement. Pretty awesome message, isn't it? Which one do you choose?


You are already whole and complete just as God created you. However, we give energy to believing quite the opposite and we wonder why we keep creating struggle....not enough love, not enough health, not enough money.


The perception of "lack" of money is a very strong energy and I hear it from most of my clients. God is always your supply and He intends that you have abundance. It is your ego that says something different.


Think about this next statement. Pay every bill as if God wrote it. When you pay your bills, think about it from this standpoint and pay them lovingly. Give positive energy to them and see what happens as a result.


You're fueling your weight with less than thoughts and it's time to change it. Money is energy and if you're always thinking "I don't have enough" then that's what the Universe is giving you. Do you want to keep living in this way of thinking or are you tried of this struggle?


Focus on "I am a money magnet" and say it over and over again. Put it on a sticky note or 3 x 5 card and place it everywhere so you can see it and keep affirming this message.


God smiles when His child lives a life in expansiveness and possibility. Please Him and watch the miracles unfold. Give Him your burdens underneath your weight. Remember you are already whole and complete. Believe it, see it, know it.


You are a sparkly child of God....and you sizzle too! Sparkly and Sizzling--what a powerful combination that only leads to expansiveness and possibility.

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #17

God is the most awesome force that we have. Every time we are off track, we just need to ask ourselves one question. Why am I disconnecting from Him?


I have previously written about a favorite author of mine, Florence Scovel Shinn. She has written many books, one of which is called The Game of Life and How to Play It. This is the book that helped me change my thoughts when I was very ill. I read it over and over and over again to help me create a different pattern of thought. It was an absolute gift to me and I would encourage you to get it. In addition, I just recently got her book entitled The Wisdom of Florence Scovel Shinn. This is a compilation of four of her books. I use these books in my daily devotion to stay connected to God. The messages are so incredibly powerful, yet simple. Staying connected to God in every thought that we have is the answer. Let go and let God. Surrender!


I am going to use part of her book to illustrate some points:
“All life is high vibration. You combine with what you notice, or you combine with what you vibrate to. If you are vibrating injustice and resentment you meet it on your pathway, at every step. You will certainly think it is hard world and that everybody is against you. Hermes Trismegistus said several thousands of years ago, “To change your mood you must change your vibrations.” I make it even stronger: I say, to change your world, you must change your vibrations. Turn on a different current in your battery of thought, and you’ll see the difference immediately. Suppose you have been resenting people and saying you are not appreciated.

Make the statement: “God appreciates me, therefore, man appreciates me, I appreciate myself.
The law of laws, is to do unto others as you would be done by; for, whatever you send out comes back and what you do to others will be done to you. So, the woman who refrains from criticism, saves herself from criticism. Critical people are always being criticized. They also have rheumatism, for acid thoughts produce acid in the blood, which causes pain in the joints. Be undisturbed by a situation and it falls away.”


When we react, when we judge, when we resist, we are disconnecting from God. All of these emotions are fear-based. As Wayne Dyer says, “If you knew who walked beside you at all times, you would have no fear.”


Recently, I had an e-mail conversation with a friend and it went back and forth several times. This friend had a lot of anger in his words. Instead of reacting, I remained calm and it was absolutely amazing. My last e-mail to him, I wrote “Let’s give this to God.” He then responded with more anger, but I was not moved; I had complete peace. A short time later, this friend e-mailed me and was very kind.


I use this to illustrate that it is about always remaining connected to our Source. I have to remind myself as well as I can get off track very easily. Remember, 7 year old Tami who wants to stick her tongue out and say, “Neener, neener, neener. You’re not the boss of me.” Sometimes she still comes out, but it’s my ego talking. This is what Wayne Dyer says of EGO—Edging God Out.


Look at where you need to connect to Him and just plug the connection back in. Then feel the power light up your world. Your power source is back and illuminating UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #16

Today is the most wonderful day! We have gifts right in front of us and we are ready to grab those gifts and say WAHOO! Look around you at your extraordinary treasures.


For my 50th birthday, my nieces gave me a CD by Tim McGraw entitled Live Like You Were Dying. They paid me a wonderful compliment and said, “Aunt Tami, you’re the one we think of who is living like you were dying.” What a powerful message to me as I blast that song every morning to rev up my energy. Of course, picturing Tim in those tight jeans helps!


Remember I used to live in such deep doo doo with fear and worry. Through daily practice my connection to God becomes clearer—it’s corrosion free. It takes practice to transcend fear and putting those daily activities in place to help bring in the positives. Want to have some fun with your inner child? Sticking your tongue out at fear does help. So let’s practice. Stick out your tongue and face your fears and shout, “You’re not the boss of me.” It’s kind of hard to have your tongue hanging out while talking but it sure feels good, doesn’t it?


I am reprinting some lines from the song so you can breathe in the message.

Powerful message, right? So what are you going to do? Tell a friend you love him or her. Call a family member whom you haven’t forgiven and forgive. Do something nice for your neighbor.

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #15

The simple aspect of breathing is the most incredible experience. Each day we get to breathe and be grateful that we are alive. Take a moment and take a deep breath and thank God for your extraordinary life. He has great plans for you. You know this, don’t you? The opportunity is just waiting for you. That’s why it’s important for us to get on with our lives, our purpose, and to live each day fully expressing our love for ourselves. Your weight loss goals are right here and so is your purpose—to feel alive with the riches that God has given us.


I want to share with you why life is so meaningful to me. My daughter, Lindsay, just celebrated her 21st birthday and came home from college to mark this occasion with family and friends. As we all know the 21st birthday has significance attached to it as it’s our entrance into full adulthood and all that it brings to us.


My ex-husband, my daughter’s friend from junior high and I took Lindsay out to dinner. We laughed and shared stories of their teenage years. During the course of the conversation, we remembered the traumatic events which surrounded Lindsay’s birth. My ex-husband then retold the story of how she came into this world.


These experiences I’m going to share with you are condensed. You can get the full view in my new e-book, Close Kept Secrets to Overcoming Illness, which will be on my website soon.


I was six months pregnant on March 4, 1984 and awoke that morning with intense pain in my leg. I called my doctor and he thought it might be a blood clot, but wasn’t too concerned so I got in the shower as I didn’t want to go to the hospital with unshaven legs. Interesting where my focus was? While I was in the shower, I began to feel faint and quickly lied down on the bed. After this episode, we decided we better leave immediately. Upon arriving at the ER I began to feel faint again. I told the nurses and they instantly wheeled me into the trauma room. I could hear them working on me, but all of the voices felt as if they were light years away. They shouted, “We’re losing her and the baby’s heart rate is dropping.” I can’t describe the peace I felt and I only wanted to go to sleep. I felt no pain as I was slowly leaving this world, but God had other plans for Lindsay and me. Once they administered a blood thinner, I woke up and didn’t quite know what had just happened. Unbeknownst to me, the doctors had told my husband at the time that we could both die and to be prepared.


What followed was a long sequence of events, but I was able to carry Lindsay another month. She was born on April 6, 1984 after almost four days of labor. Yes, four days!! She was born two months early weighing a strapping 3 lbs. 11 oz and was 18 inches long. What a gift from God.
I tell this story to illustrate that God has plans for you and me. I believed in God, but wasn’t fully connected to him 21 years ago as I was deep in my own struggles with worry and fear and continued that way for several years. It was through another painful time nine years ago when I was very ill that I began to know Him on such a deeper, profound level. Releasing my childhood stuff was the catalyst for the change in which I saw the world. Through this experience I realized He had a dream for me. It took some time for me to appreciate what living in faith meant, but now I am immersing myself in it as I help others with their weight loss goals and adoption of healthy lifestyles. This is the dream He has for me. Thank you God!!

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #14

You know what is so amazing? We get to keep learning how to improve ourselves. Each day brings a new opportunity for us to practice unconditional love, especially of ourselves. Loving your body is demonstrating unconditional love. Think what your body does for you each day.
Right now, say: I love my body, I love my body, I love my body, I love my body! Feels great, doesn’t it? Our bodies are incredible gifts from God. If we’re experiencing resistance to change, then we’re resisting God’s loving message. What are you resisting?


I was on a teleseminar recently and the topic was visualization. The message was very powerful. Let me share with you what I learned.


Take out a piece of paper and a pen or pencil. Write down 5 things that you desire in your life. It can be a car—mine is a red BMW convertible and I have a picture of it on my dream board and look at it everyday while I say affirmations in my energy circle. Of course, in my visualization the real George Clooney is in the passenger seat, not my cardboard cutout of George that a friend gave me.


Maybe you want a new house, a trip to Hawaii, thousands of dollars, a new outfit as you achieve your ideal weight. Whatever it is, write down 5 things.


Say the statements out loud, shout them and do the visualization hiney dance to them. I do love shaking it. I read a cute quote the other day….what if the hokey pokey is what it’s all about? Interesting thought, huh?


You know what? I took a break from writing, went for a walk and just came back. While I was on my walk, guess what I saw? A red BMW convertible!! Now, is that synchronicity or what? You know what I should have done? Jumped out in front of that car and made the driver get out and give me her car. Ooooppps…wrong vibration. The focus is higher vibration and manifesting it through Divine means. See the difference in vibration levels.


I will manifest that car. I don’t know how it will come; I just know it will. I only know why I desire it. I like the feeling that it conjures up….the feeling of freedom, sex appeal, youthfulness, being a hottie!


We’ve all experienced times throughout the day where we have a lull….where our energy is low or flat. What we want to do is to keep that vibration high so we constantly are aligned with the energy that we’re pulling to us. When we are in a low or flat vibration, those things we desire can’t be propelled to us because our thoughts are creating a disconnection. When our thoughts are creating and saying, “Yes, I am attracting a red BMW convertible” then we keep the energy lines open and that car will reveal itself.


It’s like that phone commercial, “Can you hear me now?” When we’re in low vibration, that which we want to attract cannot hear us. Guess what shows up? Everything we don’t want. Now, when we’re in high vibration, the reception is great and we get heard loud and clear. All that we desire flows easily to us.


Let’s practice. We’ll name these the High 5. Get it? 5 things that will manifest at a High vibration. I just made that up and I believe it’s extremely clever. Read those statements and dance, dance, dance!!


Now, you’re going to be carrying that list with you throughout the day and take it out and do the routine of saying the statements out loud with enthusiasm. Do this several times throughout the day and notice how your energy will remain at a high vibration. I encourage you to get carried away and shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake your booty while saying them. Now say them over and over and really put some feeling into it. I know you can do it!


I’ve had a practice of doing this type of visualization in the morning and at night while reading those things that I am manifesting in my life. I had noticed that I was experiencing some lulls in my energy during the day, and was grateful to hear this Divine message on how to sustain the high energy throughout the day. I’ve been doing this a few days since I heard this on the teleseminar and I’ve seen remarkable results. We were told to make a commitment to ourselves and make it a goal for 30 days. I encourage you to do the same. For 30 days take time to shout the High 5’s throughout the day. I look forward to hearing about your results.


God is AWESOME! I am shouting that statement from my office window right now. I just opened the window and shouted it so everyone could hear. Oh, the birds just flew away. They’ll be back….I have a bird feeder.


We’re on fire!! Nothing can stop us!!

Life is great, isn’t it? Stop and just look around you as you’re reading this and breathe in all that you have to be grateful for. You have a computer; you have the Internet; you have the ability to type; you can read; you have an attractive, intelligent, vibrant 50-year old woman who cares about you—that’s me! Remember to define yourself as Divine. The One who created you wouldn’t have it any other way. He expects you to let people know who you are and shout it out your car window if you have to. I prefer to wear a t-shirt that reveals who I am. I celebrated my 50th birthday on March 11 and got a t-shirt that says, “I’m 50 and I’m a Hottie!!”


You’re a Hottie too!! Take a few moments and get up and do the Hottie dance. Shake your booty and let’s hear the roaring sounds of, “I am a Hottie! I am a Hottie! I am a Hottie because I have a nice, sexy body! Go ahead and shake it all around! Being a Hottie is wear it’s at and you are definitely where it’s at.


In order to retain the Hottie title, you must take care of your body. What I’m discovering more and more as I work with clients is the emotional component that keeps people from achieving their weight loss. When you are hold things in, your body stays in an acidic state which creates a harmful environment. The stress can affect your entire body and can literally shut down your adrenal glands. It’s as if your body is in a fight or flight mode all the time with all the worry. Your body wants to be in an alkaline, balanced state for its optimum health.


Also when your body is acidic, it creates a haven for Candida Albicans, which is an overproduction of yeast in the entire body. The yeast is a parasite and doesn’t need a partner to reproduce. Thus, when you’re under stress, the yeast has a field day because it thrives on an unhealthy body. Also Candida thrives on sugar, whether it is processed sugar or carbohydrates like breads, pastas or rice that turn into sugar in the body.


I know about Candida as I had it when I was very ill. In my healing book, it states that people who have Candida experience a lot of frustration and anger. That was me once upon a time. I thank God that I was shown a different way and I can show my body how much I love it by being kind to it. God gave me a wonderful body and I express gratitude to Him everyday by what I put in it, my exercise program, the words I use, giving it time to relax and nurturing it. I am a Hottie and I wear that t-shirt with pride.


Take a moment right now and express gratitude to God for your body. Thank you for my eyes that see, my ears that can hear, my heart that beats, my blood that flows, my mouth to wear bright lipstick, my voice to express who I am. He gave it to all to you so that you would take care of it and be all you can be.


So, Ms. Hottie, releasing those emotions is the key. Keep using those Rapid Eye and Emotional Freedom Techniques to release those negative emotions. Use those affirmations throughout the day to keep the positive energy flowing. Express gratitude when you drink a glass of water, have a hot shower, skip down the road. Forgive others and yourself. Meditate and pray to be closer to God. God only knows peace and wants the same for you.


You are absolutely incredible and deserve such huge pats on the back. Go ahead and reach way back and give yourself a few pats. Your hard work is paying off and I’m proud of you!

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #12

Are you just exploding with the presence of light all around you? Isn’t it awesome when you take time out for yourself, how amazing you feel? Just keep believing in yourself and the miracles will keep happening. The right people will show up and the right opportunities will show up...GUARANTEED!


I am basking in my own light and let me tell you why. I just became a co-author in a book with a few famous people like Mark Victor Hansen, Deepak Chopra and Wayne Dyer and others. The name of the book is Wake Up Live the Life You Love…Finding Personal Freedom. It’s a compilation of short stories designed to motivate and inspire similar to Chicken Soup for the Soul. The book will come out in March and we anticipate taking it to number #1 on the best seller list. Pretty awesome, right?


Last weekend I attended a conference in Southern California as part of the Wake Up Live family. The keynote speaker was Stedman Graham, Oprah’s boyfriend. During his presentation he came over to me and asked me my name and used me to illustrate some key points for his speech. I also got to attend a VIP dinner with Stedman in attendance. Pretty wonderful, right? I met some other amazing people at the conference who I attracted to help me build my business.
Why am I telling you this? Before I could manifest miracles, I first needed to BELIEVE in myself and TRUST that GOD, my angels, my guides are right here with me all the time lifting me higher and higher. I have spent too many years living in worry and fear and only manifesting heartache as a result. I am not going to waste any more time living off track in lower vibrational energy. God has created me to live my purpose and I want to please Him. Now that I am believing in ME, I am soaring beyond the clouds!


Want to fly with me? Then keep focusing on you and each and every minute of the day thinking thoughts that will bring in more light. You have the tools to do this: RET, EFT, affirmations, meditation, visualization, journaling, forgiveness, exercise, surrounding yourself with positive people. When you have a fearful thought that comes in, take a minute out and go tap. Guess what? You can do this for a screaming child as well. Tap for them on their face, collarbone, under the arm and their head. You’ll get results for them as well.


It will be great to see where you started and where you are now as a result of making you a priority. Remember, we are made to manifest miracles. Listen, trust and take Divine action. Your dreams are right here!

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #11

You are the GREATEST, aren’t you? You are focusing on you and attracting all the wonderful things you deserve. You are enlightened about your Divinity as God only creates the Divine. Think thoughts of abundance and be amazed at what shows up for you. Referring to Lesson #2 will help you as it is all about clearing your thoughts to keep you focused on the positives. This is your year. It’s all about you and being the person you want to be. I have my own sign that people bought me that I put on my refrigerator: It’s All About Me! You have achieved your weight loss goals. Remember to think of it in terms that it has already happened because the brain does not know the difference between what is real and what is imagined. This is exactly what athletes do!


Wayne Dyer has an interesting cell phone message that he created. It goes something like this: You have reached Wayne Dyer and I want to feel good. If your message is designed to do anything other than make me feel good, you have reached the wrong number. Pretty powerful, right? You can create these same conditions. Surround yourself with positive people, positive experiences and keep doing those daily affirmations. If you find that you’re attracting something that you don’t want, then step back and look at your thoughts and ask “Why am I attracting this?”


This particular lesson I want to focus on having a great relationship with an ex-spouse or ex-significant other. Some of you may be in this position or know someone who is, and I’m here to tell you that it is possible!! We want to feel good, don’t we?


A few years ago my ex-husband and I decided to end our marriage and begin our lives as single people. We don’t look at our marriage as a failure, but rather as something that we attracted because we had lessons to learn and we showed up for each other to learn those valuable lessons. It took a few short months for us to work through anger and hurt, but we have transcended those negative emotions. I could truly not exist with having anger towards him.

That would keep me stuck and hold things in my body and “I want to feel good!” I have forgiven him, and more importantly, I have forgiven myself. We have a wonderful relationship as friends, and I am grateful to him for the lessons he taught me. One of the lessons he taught me was to stand up for myself. I became my mom as she experienced the same lesson with my dad. In all of us we carry DNA patterns and Rapid Eye Technology is wonderful for clearing these patterns.
I recently took my ex-husband out to dinner for his birthday and people would be baffled by our conversation. We talked about our dating experiences and did a lot of belly laughing as a result. He has been dating for much longer than I have and so had more to share. Nonetheless, we could truly be happy for each other and want the best for each other as well.


If you’re intent is to feel good, but you’re still holding on to anger, how can you accomplish that goal? Get out lesson #5 which focuses on forgiveness. I’m including a visualization exercise from Louise Hay, You Can Heal Your Life. I extend gratitude to Louise as she has helped me more than she can ever possibly know.


Here’s the exercise. Have someone read this to you or put it on tape and listen to it so you can close your eyes and truly act as if they are in the room with you.


“Begin to visualize yourself as a little child of five or six. Look deeply into this little child’s eyes. See the longing that is there and realize that there is only one thing this little child wants from you, and that is love. So reach out your arms and embrace this child. Hold hi/her with love and tenderness. Tell him/her how much you love him/her, how much you care. Admire everything about this child and say that it’s okay to make mistakes while learning. After all, mistakes are God’s way of saying choose a different path. Promise that you will always be there no matter what. Now let this child get very small, until he/she is just the size to fit into your heart. Put him/her there so whenever you look down, you can see this little face looking up at you, and you can give him/her lots of love.


Now visualize your mother as a little girl of four or five, frightened and looking for love and not knowing where to find it. Reach out your arms and hold this little girl and let her know how much you love her, how much you care. Let her know she can rely on you to always be there, no matter what. When she quiets down and begins to feel safe, let her get very small, just the size to fit into your heart. Put her there with your own little child. Let them give each other lots of love.


Now imagine your father as a little boy of three or four, frightened, crying and looking for love. See the tears rolling down his face when he doesn’t know where to turn. You have become good at comforting frightened little children, so reach out your arms and hold his trembling little body. Comfort him. Let him feel how much you love him. Let him feel that you will always be there for him.


When his tears are dry, and you feel the love and peace in his little body, let him get very small, just the size to fit into your heart. Put him there so those three little children can give each other lots of love and you can love them all.”


I’m going to now add your ex-spouse or ex-significant other to this visualization.
Now picture your ex-spouse or ex-significant other as a little child of four or five, frightened and looking for love and not knowing where to find it. He/she is so scared and cries for someone to love him/her. You reach out your arms and in that loving, comforting way hold him/her close to you. Let him/her know you will always be there. Dry his/her tears and let him/her get very small, just the size to fit into your heart. Put him/her there so all of you children can be comforted and give each other lots of love.


Back to the end of the Louise Hay visualization.
“There is so much love in your heart that you could heal the entire planet. But just for now let us use this love to heal you. Feel a warmth beginning to glow in your heart center, a softness, a gentleness. Let this feeling begin to change the way you think and talk about yourself.”
Remember, according to Marianne Williamson, “All behavior is either a call or love or extension of love.” Extend love to yourself and then to all those around you, including your ex’s. It will be remarkable how you feel and then manifest wonderful things as a result. Holding on to anger serves no purpose, other than to create destructive things in your body like extra weight.

Remember, your intent is to feel good. When you feel good, you feel God!!

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #10

WOW!! Here we are on lesson #10. Hasn’t it been an amazing journey over these two months? What you are discovering is all the secrets to your weight loss are within you. You’ve always had the power within you to lose it; you just needed to discover that you hold that power. As women we feel we need to manage the Universe and that’s a huge responsibility. When this happens, we take care of everyone’s needs first and then leave us to the last and lose our power. We find we run on empty most of the time and then wonder why we struggle with weight. Who are we really mad at? Us!


When I did some introspection work when I got sick years ago, I was really mad at me. I was struggling with my marriage and I kept blaming my husband. Then God kept sending me messages, “Tami, this is about you and learning about you.” I was having some heart to heart conversations with God telling Him that it wasn’t about me—it was my husband. I felt like a little kid with my fingers in my ears telling God, “Neener, Neener, Neener. You’re not the boss of me!” And then running away. God, in His gentle, loving way kept insisting that I needed to work on myself. I finally listened! I can be pretty stubborn. Can you relate to this? Then I had the AHA moment. I was giving away my power by having to please others. WOW! What a revelation! Whenever I have a moment where my power wants to sneak out, I just get a rope out and lasso it and shout, “Oh, no you don’t! You come on back to momma!”


I just recently watched The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya’s for the second time. This movie depicts what can manifest when we hold on to our stuff and give away our power. It affects us and those around with whom we come in contact for generations. This movie also demonstrates the power of sisterhood and provides a lot of humor and bonding that can take place.. With this in mind, we’re going to do a little Ya Ya lesson. Ready Ya Ya’s?? I can’t hear you. Are you ready? Shout it from every cell in your body. “I am ready to release my stuff and have some fun.” Remember, clothing is optional! After all, you’re in the comfort of your own home, embrace your body and tell it that you love it.


Before we begin, I need to explain something about chakras. They are spinning circles of energy in your body and govern the endocrine system. With this in mind, they bring your hormones and thus your emotions into balance. We’re going to be working with one particular chakra—your power chakra.


Take a deep breath in and feel the energy surrounding you as you realize the full power within. Put one hand on your solar plexus, which is located in the area between the belly button and the rib cage. While rubbing your hand counterclockwise over the solar plexus, I want you to do Rapid Eye moving your eyes left to right. Find two points on the wall so you can move your eyes from left to right. Now start up at the ceiling moving the eyes in a zig zag format all the way down to the floor. While moving your eyes, repeat after me: I release the pain, I release the trauma, I release the guilt, I release the anger, I release the sadness, I release all the negative emotions past, present and future. How did that feel?


We’re going to activate your POWER NOW!! While rubbing your hand clockwise over the solar plexus, continue with the Rapid Eye movements as above and repeat after me: I have my power, I retain my power, I love my power, I am a powerful child of God, I love me forever. How did that feel?


Okay, now we’re going to have some fun. Now that we have our power back, let’s do a Ya Ya Power Ceremony. Visualize you, me and everyone who you want to be in a circle of light underneath the stars late at night. The moon is bright and illuminating its full potential. We are going to moon….oopps I mean we are the moon illuminating our full potential. Some day I’ll have to tell you about my mooning experiences.


We breathe in our power! We’re wearing our slinky dresses and swaying our hands up in the air. Darn, we look good! Someone starts drumming and we dance to the beat of the drum while chanting the power song, I’ve Got Da Power and You Don’t!” Keep chanting first softly and then louder and louder until you’re screaming it from the depths of your soul. We are the Ya Ya’s and true Ya Ya’s always retain their power. It is done now and forever.


What a ceremony! Thank you for joining me in the Power Ceremony. God wants us to keep our power. It’s His job to manage the Universe so you don’t have to.

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #9

WAHOO!!! for YOU!! You are the most AWESOME person alive!! Stand up and repeat after me. Come on, get up and feel the presence of God all around you. Are you up out of that chair? You can stand up while you’re reading, can’t you? Okay, are you up? Now shout…. I am AMAZING, I am WONDERFUL, I am POWERFUL, I am my IDEAL WEIGHT, I LOVE myself, I am BEAUTIFUL, I am the DIVINE!! Phew!! How did that feel? I am always saying those words and I move my whole body. It is such an energy boost and every cell in my body dances with joy.


Wow!! What did you think of that exercise? You keep this up and you’re going to have the world in your hands. You already do, you know. The world is right there within you, you just need to believe it. Okay, now shout…I DO BELIEVE IN ME, I DO BELIEVE IN ME, I DO BELIEVE IN ME!! Phew!! You got it!!


You’re on FIRE now!! Do you want to keep feeling that fire? Then let’s keep going with positive affirmations. Ready, set, go! Can you tell I was a former cheerleader? Well, until I got kicked off the squad for missing the bus back to school after a field trip to a local college. Hey, there were some cute college boys. I could not pass up a chance to talk to them. Was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY!!


Sorry, just remembering that experience made my temperature rise. I’m back on track now. Focus, Focus!! Ready to use your imagination? Imagine you’re a cheerleader out on the field. You’re in that cute, little uniform and you’re looking so fine shaking your pom poms….WHEW baby, you are looking mighty fine…hot stuff, in fact! Ready for the cheer? Give me a S, give me a U, give me a P, give me an E, give me a R. What’s that spell? S…U…P…E….R!! That’s you!! Feeling so good!!


You have to be feeling great, now!! These are amazing demonstrations of just who you are. Remember that your brain does not know the difference between what is real and what is imagined. So keep this in mind when you’re thinking. It’s so easy to practice negativity because it’s comfortable. But what does negativity get you? Pause and think about this? Does it get you what you want or what you don’t want? I can’t hear you!!


Now, I’m going to ask you another question? What does being positive get you? Does it get you what you want or what you don’t want? I can’t hear you!! Well, then why aren’t you thinking more positive thoughts to get you what you want? If you’re going to be thinking a thought, why not make it a powerfully positive one?


In your quest for weight loss, please remember weight loss programs will only work when you make peace with the inner emotions that drove you to overeat. You can do this by incorporating daily activities that keep you focused on the positives. Take out lesson #2 again and practice the techniques. When you have an issue, you can use RET having your eyes do the zig zag process. Practice EFT on a regular basis—it’s a must for me. I do an entire routine each morning and night. It keeps me centered on my beliefs in myself.


So now for your homework. Get Louise Hay’s book, You Can Heal Your Life. You can get it the library or through your local bookstore. It’s like a Bible to me and I refer to it often. In fact, now my 20 year old daughter will pull it off the bookshelf whenever she is experiencing something negative to see what she needs to focus on. You, too, will benefit from having this book. There are a lot of positive affirmations. Enjoy!!

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #8

Life is extraordinary filled with wonderful people to show up to teach us things. Mitzi, a special friend from high school, sent me a book, The Game of Life and How to Play It, when I was struggling with a sickness years ago. The author speaks about the law of attraction, which I have written about previously. In addition, she writes, “No man is your enemy, no man is your friend, every man is your teacher.” When you look at life this way, it becomes so simple.

Rather than be offended by what a person is saying to you, think a new thought. What is this person teaching me? What can I learn from this person? This book changed my life as it showed me how I could change my thoughts. I had always functioned from a foundation of worry and fear. Worry and fear are lower vibrational energies and then I attracted lower energies. Today, I see things entirely different as a result of changing my thoughts, and am so grateful for this transformation. I am now attracting higher vibrational energies and am amazed who is showing up for me!

What I would like you to do is write down the top five people in your life. Don’t try and analyze this—just write down those people that first pop into your mind. Now, write down the lessons they are teaching you. This might be a challenge if there is conflict with any of them. I once read that your true soul mates are the people who challenge you to be better.

You have been given many great gifts. You are to share your talents with the world. By remaining stuck in your weight issues, you are ripping off the world of what you came to this earth to do. Recently, I worked with a personal coach who said these exact words to me….that if I wasn’t sharing my talents, I was ripping off the world of all that God intended for me. This really made a powerful impact. Everything you are today is because of your thoughts and your decisions that you have made as a result of those thoughts. In the book, If You Think You Can, the word decision comes from the Latin root meaning “to cut off from.” “There comes a time in every person’s life when making a decision is truly necessary. A decision where you thought so deeply in what you want that there is no option for turning back.”

Make the decision today to gain your power back and lose the weight. The answers are within you. Keep focused on your goal. Surround yourself with people who will support your decision and release those who won’t. Give up the lifestyle that supported your weight gain. See the weight as a gift to you so that you will be conscious in becoming all you can be. We all get off track and the weight becomes a reminder that you want something different, something more meaningful. Again, it’s very simple. To quote Wayne Dyer, “Surround yourself with the conditions you want to produce.”

Who are the people you are going to surround yourself?
Who are the people you are going to have limited contact?
Who are the people you are going to let go?

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #7

Well, look at you go! You keep moving closer and closer towards your goal. How extraordinary are you? Do you want to know? You are the most extraordinary person on this earth!! To quote Wayne Dyer, we are human beings having a spiritual experience. With this in mind, how can you be anything but Divine as a spiritual being! Keep this in mind when you’re on your journey to achieve weight loss.

Did you do your homework assignment and include exercise in your routine? Was it great to dance around shaking that booty? Your body must have been in heaven shouting, “More, More, More!” For me, I incorporate a few different things: walking, dancing, yoga, pilates, walking and running. I have to get outside and breathe in all that God has created. In fact, I’ve been thinking about running a marathon. Can you imagine at the age of 49 doing this? I’m going to start out with a 5K in the Spring and then go from there. I have a person in my life who is serving as my coach to offer encouragement to let me know I can do it. I have to exercise as it boosts my energy level and makes me feel good. Turning 50 next year is transcending me into experiencing everything as if it is all brand new. I feel as if I’m 21 again. I have no wrinkles—ya, right!

I’ve been coming into contact with so many people who have forgiveness at the core of their weight issues. I know a previous lesson focused on forgiveness and I would like to focus on it again in this lesson.

Whom do you still need to forgive? Include yourself in this process. What thoughts do you still have that are not connected to God? Write them down now.

Writing will help you get your emotions out. Do you journal? If you don’t, I would highly recommend it. I journal each night and this is where I express my thoughts and then I also include gratitude for those things that I have and those things I have yet to receive. I believe everything is right there waiting for me.

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #6

I am so proud of you and your accomplishments. You’re embarking on your own journey and you astound me because you want something more, something that surpasses what you currently know. You are such a gift from God and He is right there with you as you’re on your journey to discover you—peeling back the layers to find the wholeness that already exists.
When I went through my transformation to discover myself after being very sick and peeled back my own layers and changed my thoughts, I had a difficult time adapting to the new me. For years I had been this person who lived in fear and worry and attracted everything that was separate from God; I didn’t know the person I had become.

Here I was experiencing a higher vibration of energy encompassing peace, love and joy and didn’t quite know what to do with these feelings. I was having new conversations with people on a whole different level and saying goodbye to some when I felt the need to do so. You may experience this as well. People are going to see changes in you and might be unsure of what this means for your relationship with them. Try not to be alarmed as there might be relationships that you’re going to have to say goodbye to because they don’t represent who you are any longer. Make sure you thank them for the role they played in your life (either in person or writing it down in a journal). This is necessary for your healing. Be aware of it and embrace it.
Wayne Dyer, my mentor who wrote The Power of Intention, eloquently states “Surround yourself with the conditions which you want to produce.” If you’re looking for harmony, then attract only those people, those experiences that will produce harmony. Likewise, if you want to attract weight loss, then attract those people, those experiences that will help you produce weight loss. If you are around people who always want to eat in an unhealthy way, how is this going to help you in your quest to lose weight? What are you going to do about it? To quote Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Nothing can bring you peace but yourself.”

This is the intention of these lessons. To show you that you already have all the answers within. I am the one who holds your hand to guide you to your answers. As Wayne Dyer serves as my mentor, I will serve as yours. I’ll be your coach, your cheerleader to say, “You can do it.” It’s so easy to look outside yourself for the answers, but the answers always lie within. We need to be ready to be open and to listen to our inner voice, our spirit. Sometimes we can listen to the itty bitty committee that is within us as well. Have you ever heard of this committee? They tell us that we can’t do it. They shout at us and say “Who do you think you are to lose weight. You’re never going to be able to do it. You’ve tried in the past and haven’t been successful.”

Take a few moments and write down all the thoughts you’ve had in the past that supports the committee’s existence. Every thought that you’ve had that you couldn’t do it, it’s too hard, everyone else can lose weight but me—all those I can’t statements.

Right now, express gratitude to the committee. Take a moment and thank them for their presence because you needed them at one time. Our challenges can be our greatest gifts so it’s important to communicate gratitude because of the lessons we’re supposed to learn. Remember, the itty bitty committee is our own negative thoughts.

Ready to have some fun? Stand up and visualize the committee as these small, troll dolls lined up across the floor. Now turn around and shake your hineys at this committee while shouting and laughing, “I am my ideal weight. I am a beautiful person. I am a lean, mean, sex machine. My butt is nice and shapely. I am a Divine child of God.” You can keep going with this and use any affirmations you would like and have more fun. Here’s a bumper sticker we could make….my thighs are smaller than your thighs. Now, you’re changing your thoughts to embrace a higher vibration of energy to attract only positive people and experiences in your life. Keep practicing and use the EFT tapping points too!

We haven’t talked about exercise yet so here’s your homework. Exercise your little (notice I said little) hineys off. Pick something that you like to do and do it for at least ten minutes a few times each week. It can just be walking around the house. You can turn on butt movin’ music and dance around the house for a few minutes…even more. If you have children, get them involved. Dance with your significant other. They will love this time with you.

As you’re exercising throw your body into it. Let your body know that you love it and are giving it the attention it deserves. Your blood is moving, your toxic cells are leaving your body. Your lungs thank you, your muscles thank you. Every part of your body is feeling the exhilaration. Ba bye, fat cells!

Wow! You must be on fire by now burning and churning up those calories on your way to your ideal weight. I know that taking steps to better your life is not always easy. It takes courage to do this. Sometimes it’s easier just to keep in the mind set of surviving and do what you’ve always done. When you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten. Is this what you desire? Or do you want something different, something that is absolutely amazing?


You know what I believe? I believe you’re ready to burst out of your shell and manifest everything that is yours by Divine right. You are so ready to soar above the clouds that nothing can stop you from achieving success. God has these plans for you, and he wants you thriving, not surviving. You’re now recognizing what you need to do in order to obey His commands. To thrive means paying attention to yourself so that you can be all that God intends for you. If sometimes you feel that you’re not living God’s plan, He forgives you even when you’re not connected to Him. Now, if God can forgive you, then let’s work on forgiving yourself.


I want you to take out a mirror and look into it while reading the following statements. If you don’t have a hand-held one, then go stand by a mirror.

There might be several things you want to forgive yourself for or you might just have a few things. The important thing is to focus on forgiving so you can release it.


Last week I worked with a client who had an amazing break through. Her core issue was not forgiving herself for making mistakes in her second marriage, which led to divorce. She has been very hard on herself for seven years because she thought she asked all the right questions and should have known better. I did chakra work with her and the message was loud and clear…..FORGIVE YOURSELF. (Incidentally, I will explain chakra work in another lesson).


Now, while looking into the mirror, take your right hand and form a fist and rub over the heart and repeat out loud:


Even though I have had the issue of not forgiving myself, I deeply love and accept myself and this issue is healed. Divine Love floods my whole body with light and every cell is filled with love. Say this ten times.


In addition, while the mirror is in front you, tell yourself, “You look marvelous, baby!!”
How do you feel? Stupendous! Awesome! Supercalifragilisticexpealidocious! (Okay, I am a fan of Mary Poppins and I love that word).


Practice! Practice! Practice! (Affirmations, Rapid Eye, Emotional Freedom Techniques, gratitude, forgiveness). The more you do it, the more it just becomes natural to bring in all the positives and surround yourself with them. Your ideal weight is already there. Believe it! Know it! Expect it!

How’s the practicing going? Are you spending time each day to practice RET, EFT and affirmations? When you make yourself a priority, then everything else falls into place.
When we lose our connection to God, to ourselves, then we get off track. The answer is very simple! Spend time with yourself each day and focus on you.

Do you make excuses why you can’t spend time with yourself? Do you come up with all sorts of reasons why you couldn’t do it?

Take some time right now and write down the excuses you generally use when you don’t focus on you? Example: I couldn’t exercise because I had to do the laundry. Just name everything you use as an excuse. If you have weight issues, I guarantee the list will be long.

God created you as the most awesome person in the Universe and spending time with yourself would please Him. He wants you to feel that joy and love of yourself. One way to spend time with yourself is being thankful.

I thought it would be appropriate to take some time to be grateful. Expressing gratitude is important to adopt as a daily practice. When you’re thankful for all you’ve received, it opens your heart up to attract great things. You look at everything in such a different way and realize all that you have is given to you by God. How powerful is this?

A great daily practice is seeing the Divinity in all things and this is what I would like you to do right now. Take a look around you in the room you’re in and notice everything. Now, we’re going to be thankful for all that you see.

I am grateful for the wallsI am grateful for the paintI am grateful for the computerI am grateful for the windowsI am grateful for the doorsI am grateful for the lights
You get the picture. See how many things you can say or write down that you’re grateful for in just that room alone. You’ll feel a sense of calm and won’t be stressed.

You can expand on this to include your body. Remember to act as if it is already happening.

I am grateful that food nourishes me
I am grateful I no longer have cravings
I would like to express my gratitude to you and how much I appreciate you being a part of my life. I know your weight has been (I’m using past tense here) an issue, but remember I will be the light that helps you know you have everything within you now to overcome this. I’m destined to help you uncover those layers you’re using as protection.

The big lesson today is focus on you. There is no bigger priority than you. You deserve it!

Whew! So how did you do on that last lesson? Have you been practicing? There was a lot of content to take in and absorb, and practicing the techniques as well. I wanted to make sure I included it all so you could see it from start to finish.

Now, this is via e-mail, and my sessions over the phone and face-to-face, are longer. I’ve seen such amazing results with Rapid Eye Technology and Emotional Freedom Techniques and it’s only over a short period of time. Everyone feels a substantial release only after one session.
We’re moving into a new reality with energy therapy. Take care of the problem in quick, easy steps. It’s very different than standard talk therapy, which some people have used for several years to overcome a problem. I was here as well. I had been to see different therapists off and on, but never released the problem until I saw an energy practitioner. I understood the part my childhood played in my life; I just didn’t know how to release the pain. Once I did, I felt pure euphoria (I love that word) and became a totally different person. It’s a very freeing experience!

So how long is a session? Sessions are one and half hours the first session to gain information on the client and one hour in subsequent sessions. Some people can actually release their pain in three sessions... a woman who suffered from sexual abuse from her father did just that. Incredible, isn’t it? Once the pain is released, then the client is able to make new, healthy choices and live the life he or she is destined to have.

It’s amazing the pain we hold in our thoughts/our bodies and that becomes the basis of our existence. We tend to live life in struggle and we believe that this is what life is supposed to be. We grew up thinking that life is hard and strife becomes our comfort.

We get stuck in our thoughts that there is no other choice. We think in terms of limits and we place those limits on ourselves with our thoughts. God has wonderful plans for you; you just will continue to peel back layers to know your wholeness.

Here's your homework. If you have't written your affirmations, then this week take some time to do so. Spend time each day on your affirmations. The more positive information you can bring into your energy space (this is the entire space around you) on a daily basis, the better. Make sure they're in the present... I am powerful, I am my ideal weight, I am beautiful!

Remember, we have to break free of the negative programming that life is a struggle. Spend time doing positive things and affirmations is one way to do this. Have fun with this process. Turn on the music and dance while you're reading them. I love butt-movin' music. Sounds fun, doesn't it?

Welcome to lesson #2. First of all, I believe that gratitude is so important in everyday life. With this in mind, I am in awe at the response for this ezine and I want to thank you for trusting the process and believing in yourself. When I woke up the next day after setting this up and saw the number of people who subscribed, I broke down in tears. I owe everything I have created to God. He led me to do this and through Him I will help you. I am here to be the light for you to know that you already possess the wholeness within. We have several layers that we will be uncovering. You will then be able to make new choices in your quest for weight loss and be putting daily plans for yourself in place. You will be amazed at the difference. My intention is that you get results!

As we proceed through each lesson, I will be reviewing some of the content in the previous lessons as well to recap. Hey, it doesn’t hurt for you to hear information over and over again, does it? Remember it takes 21 days to create a habit. In lesson #1, we discussed how everything is made up of energy. Your thoughts are pure energy. Whatever you put out, is what you will get back. The Law of Attraction is set up and will manifest those things in your life which you attract with your thoughts. Changing your thoughts will be your greatest challenge. It was for me and it took daily effort to do so. When you look at your life currently, what have you attracted with your thoughts? If you’re overweight, then what do you believe about yourself? If you believed that you could actually lose weight, these thoughts would have been released into the Universe to produce a completely different response.

I mentioned previously Louise Hay’s book, You Can Heal Your Life, and in it she talks about how anger is the core issue of weight issues. Now, did you do your homework assignment? The homework assignment was to write down those people in your life who you’re angry with and remember you can include yourself. You were also supposed to write down what they did that made you angry.

For me, I didn’t feel love from either parent, but I had such a special bond with my father so I held on to his energy in a more devastating way in my body. My father died when I was fourteen, and there’s an entire story behind that one in an e-book, Close Kept Secrets to Overcoming Illness. I felt responsible for his life and for his death and that book will detail everything about how I attracted a horrific illness because I carried so much negative energy in me relating to childhood. With this in mind, I carried anger at not feeling loved and having the childhood I believed I deserved.

Okay, ready to release that anger? First, I want to explain the process. As an integrative body therapist, I work with clients face-to-face or over the telephone to help release their pain using Rapid Eye Technology and Emotional Freedom Techniques. Energy is energy and can be utilized all over the world. I did hear from a subscriber that she felt tingly all over after this process so it does work. We’re on this journey together being supported by God. It is similar to prayer energy—the person doesn’t have to be right there in order to see that prayer works.
What is Rapid Eye Technology (RET)? It’s a technology which was developed to help release pain and trauma so that a person can experience love and joy on a deeper level. It stimulates the Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep cycle, a natural release process. Your eyes flutter when you are in REM sleep similar to watching a baby sleep and this is where the release process takes place. How many of you have experienced waking up in the middle of the night remembering that you were supposed to do something? This is your brain at work for you while you sleep. Well, in RET, you’re awake and you’re processing and releasing your stuff. There’s also guided imagery, charka clearing, affirmations and life skills which are part of this process as well. RET is great for balancing left and right brains because the left brain has to know why whereas the right brain sees the positive/spiritual aspect of the world. In addition, we’ll be using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). The premise of this technique is that when one experiences a negative emotion like anger, there is a disruption in the body’s energy system resulting in various symptoms. EFT is similar to acupuncture without the needles.
When I work with clients, we go through six to twelve sessions. Depending upon the amount of stuff one is carrying will determine how long the duration of the sessions so just keep this in mind. The results are absolutely amazing as the person feels lighter after releasing.

I do have to mention a Disclaimer now as you might be triggered by these processes. I know, I know! Disclaimers are part of our lives now.

Here it is:

You agree to hold the therapist completely harmless from any and all problems that might arise as a result of these ezine sessions.
Okay, we have that out of the way. Now let’s proceed.

These processes address the underlying cause of most weight issues—the need to tranquilize with food the anxiety which is felt by you with unresolved emotional issues. Until one’s underlying issue is dealt with, the need to overeat will continue. This is why many weight loss programs fail over the long term. People may lose weight using them but since the underlying emotional issue is still there, the need to medicate feelings through food will ever be present. It has been my experience in working with people who are overweight that the underlying emotion has to be released in order for new choices to be made; otherwise they will just revert back.

Right now, sit back and think about your anger. Judge where you are on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) with your anger that we spoke about earlier—who you’re mad at and why. Now, if you’re not feeling anger, then identify if it’s sadness, guilt or shame.

Release Process
State your intention for what you want out of your personal session and ask God, angels or your guides for assistance. If uncomfortable emotions surface, acknowledge them by writing down what you’re feeling. Read the entire process (you'll be doing several things) to the end of the ezine before proceeding.
1) Get comfortable in a chair or on the couch. Find two spots. One in each corner of the room at eye level.
2) Move your eyes to the left and right as rapidly as possible for the intent to release (as you move your eyes from left to right, look up at the seam between the ceiling and the wall and then slowly move your gaze downward to the seam between the wall and the floor, then return to eye level. It’s like a “zigzag” sequence.
3) After several seconds of this, open your eyes wide and then scrunch them closed as you breathe in and out. Do this no more than three times.
4) If the emotion still seems strong, return to step 2 and begin again. Only do this process twice.
5) Open your mouth wide and take a big breath, hold it in a second and then blast the energy out to dissolve in the light. Do this three times.
While you’re doing the above process, you can say the following while moving your eyes:
Release all trauma/Release all the anger/Release all the sadness/Release all the frustration/Release all the grief/Release all the helplessness/Release all the hopelessness/Release all pity/Release all the poor me/Release it.

Energy Realignment
Tap the pressure points outlined below with the first two fingers (index and middle fingers) on your hand 7-10 times while repeating the phrases below. Here’s some you can use or you can make up your own to make it unique to your situation.
You’ll always fill in the blank and then complete the statement with the same phrase.
Even though my mother didn’t like me, I deeply and completely accept myself. Even though I didn’t feel love from my father, I deeply and completely accept myself. Even though my mother doesn’t think I’m good enough, I deeply and completely accept myself. Even though I’m embarrassed by my weight, I deeply and completed accept myself.
1) Beginning of the eyebrow towards your nose2) Side of the eye (either eye)3) Under center of eye on cheekbone (either eye)4) Under nose 5) Under bottom lip6) Right below the collarbone (either collarbone)7) Under the arm, about 4 inches below the arm pit (either arm)8) Tap all over the top of head for good energy flow9) Form a fist and rub in the clockwise motion over your heart
Don’t worry if you’re not sure if you’re hitting the right points and saying it just right. You will still get results. There are many energy points all over your body. Trust in yourself and know that God is with you every step of the way.
Now, judge the intensity on a scale of 1-10. If you’re not at a 1 or a 2, then repeat the tapping.
You can tap throughout the day, especially when issues of food begin to arise (even though I have this craving for chips, I deeply and completely accept myself). I do a morning routine of tapping and I include exercise, meditation and prayer. I tap throughout the day and it keeps me centered and then I do a night routine as well. I tap when I have to do a presentation and I’m experiencing fear. I tap when I’m about to have a conversation which is uncomfortable and I’m experiencing fear. I tap in my car. I’m sure it must be funny to the person who is in the car next to me. Just like me, this will become part of your daily routine.

Positive Affirmations
The mind does not know the difference between what is real and what is imagined. Athletes use this concept to envision themselves as already have completed their feat. They visualize themselves being triumphant. This is what separates those who are successful and those who still are presented with challenges. You must believe yourself as if you have already are at your desired weight.
With this in mind, it’s important to use these as if they are already occurring. Once you do this, you will manifest and attract exactly what you focus your thoughts on. Use these or create your own and say them throughout the day…several times a day. It works to put them on sticky notes or 3x5 cards so you’re reminded to do them. Place them on your refrigerator, your mirror…..any place that is visible.

Thank you, God!

I weigh ____________! (fill in the blank with your ideal weight)
I am peace!
I am happy in my body!
I am loved!
I breathe in joy!
I am wholeness!
I am beautiful!
I have thin thighs!

Grounding
If you are feeling like you’re not fully in this space and time, here are some things you can do:
• Firmly press the tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth behind your front teeth and hold your fingertips together for about 30 seconds.
• Place your right hand on top of your head while imagining energy coming in through the top of your head and flowing down your spine connecting to the middle of the earth.
• Tap all over the top of your head
• Drink some water

I am so grateful that you’re taking steps to take control of your life. You will be amazed when we work together how much you’ll uncover about yourself. You’ll understand how your thoughts have contributed to your being overweight and you will take daily steps to put together a new plan of action for yourself. I imagine that you are tired of living like this and want some new, something better for yourself. I am here to help you and I know you can do it!

As an integrative body therapist, I work with energy and thought processes. With this in mind, we’re going to begin this lesson with a discussion on energy and how you attract excess weight.
Everything is made up of energy. The couch you’re sitting on, the table, even money is made up of energy. Our bodies are nothing but pure energy. Since everything is made up of energy, these things are affected by the Natural Laws of the Universe. These Laws are designed to manifest whatever we put our thoughts on. In simple terms, whatever you put your mind on, is what you’re going to get.

We’re going to look at one of the Natural Laws—the Law of Attraction. How does this apply to being overweight? When you hold negative thoughts in your body, symptoms appear based on those thoughts. In your case, you hold excess weight. You may be experiencing other symptoms as well, but your main focus right now is your weight. You hold negative thoughts in your body and this attracts excess weight. According to Louise Hay, author of You Can Heal Your Life, outlines weight issues in her book and anger is the driving force underneath the weight. It can be anything from anger at being denied love, anger at the parents or anger at one specific parent—often the father. In my case, I was angry at both parents, but more so my father.
Now, I'll be giving you homework assignments because I like this to be interactive and have you contribute as well. So here's your first homework assignment. It’s very simple. Identify who you’re angry with? You can include yourself. Once you’ve done this then describe why you’re angry with the person(s) you’ve identified and be specific.

We’ll be peeling back layers and these are simple steps to uncovering some layers. I will then address how you can release this anger so you can experience pure joy and love. In your case, especially of your body.

You are great just the way God intended you to be! You just need to peel back a few layers to reveal the wholeness that is already there. Thank you for letting me be part of your journey.

The Logical Approach To Losing Weight

Are you looking into the different ways that can help you to lose weight? Have you tried a number of different diets in the past but still find yourself being overweight? Are you fed up with being fat? Do you yearn the day when you can buy the type of clothes that you really want? If you have answered yes to any of these questions then this article could well prove to be of benefit to you.

I am somebody who until a few years ago would have answered yes to all of the above questions. I had tried many forms of diet, I would buy clothes that suited my size rather than the clothes I actually wanted to wear. I was without doubt fed up with being fat and was desperate to find a way of losing weight which would last.

In my opinion the answer to all of weight problems was quite simple. I do not need any fancy diet, what I needed to do was to think in a logical way. I first of all had to ask myself a number of questions:

Question. Why are you overweight?
Answer: I eat far too much food and drink far too much alcohol. The food that I do eat is basically fat food such as crisps, chocolate, takeaways and microwave food. I also do very little exercise, therefore I do not give my body a chance to burn off some of this fat. I tend to rarely walk anywhere, I prefer to drive.

Question. Why have you been unsuccessful with your past dieting attempts?
Answer: I did not really follow the program. I may have done for the short term but certainly did not over the longer term. I also gave into temptations by eating food types which I was not really supposed to.

Question. How much do you want to lose this excess weight?
Answer. A huge amount.

Question. So why do you not follow the dieting programs to the letter?
Answer. I am weak, I suppose.

As you can see, the answers to my weight issues are in the answers to these questions. Quite simply I need to:
Be more disciplined
Be more determined
Be stronger
Walk and exercise a lot more
Eat in a much more healthy way
Cut down my intake of alcohol
Stick to the above for the long term

A couple of years ago I started to implement my new logical form of diet and I am happy to report that I am now at a size that I am happy with.

How To Lose Weight While You Sleep

Most of us simply take sleep for granted. We assume we need our "rest" without ever thinking much about it. But the most important function of sleep is to allow our bodies to regenerate themselves. If we engage in physical exercise or muscle-taxing work during the day, our muscles, ligaments, skin, cartilege and other working parts of our body are worn down in the process. The body needs a time of rest to rebuild these damaged parts. That is what happens during sleep.

In other words, the body engages in a restorative process during sleep. And this restorative process uses energy to rebuild both lean muscle mass and other kinds of body tissue. That is worth repeating -- the rebuilding processes that take place during sleep use energy. And if the restorative processes are running smoothly and efficiently, the required energy comes from the places in our body where energy is stored -- from our fat cells.

So while we sleep the body repairs and rebuilds organ tissue, ligaments, tendons and lean muscle by burning the calories we take in as food during the day. And if that is not enough, it will burn excess fat.

Several things about this process are worth noting. They have an important bearing on how efficiently it works.

Collagen is very important to the body repair process
Collagen is the most common protein found in our bodies. It is the main component of our skin, nails, bones, cartilage, and connective tissue and is found in all of the body organs. Cartilage is the cushion and shock absorber between joints, and the reason we stay flexible and mobile. But cartilage and other soft body tissues are the very things that break down during our normal daily activities.
