Banana Diet Review - Does the Banana Diet Work?

John DavenportThe Banana Diet is one of the hottest diets in Japan at the moment and it's getting a lot of global coverage as well, but does the Banana Diet really work or is it a scam? I don't want to call anything a scam but I highly doubt that the Banana Diet works and I believe it isn't a plan that you should do. Let's look at what this diet preaches and see the merit of it:
1. You can eat as many bananas as you like each morning - The question which comes to my mind is why a banana which is one of the most calorie dense fruits in the world? Bananas are also high in sugar and lower on fiber than some other fruits.
2. You then get to eat anything you want for the rest of the day basically until 8 PM. I doubt if eating pizzas and ice cream all week will work, but you theoretically could. There's really little sense to it.
3. From 8 PM onwards you're not allowed to eat at all. The people behind the diet don't explain why, but here is the real reason: People eat most of their food at the evening and night after they get back home from work. There you have all of your favorite foods at the easiest possible place for you to get them: your fridge. So people naturally eat too much at night. By telling people not to eat after 8 PM, the Banana diet people hope that you'll lose weight because you eat less. It has nothing to do with Bananas.
I highly doubt that the Banana diet is going to last for very long. It's just a fad diet based on a nice gimmick. It's not a plan to lose weight for a lifetime and keep it off. I recommend not trying it.

I had accepted this as my way of life, until our daughter started also to have a weight problem. We discussed our weight and decided that we would work on the issue together. Along with eating healthier we started fitness training. We all could use a bit more fitness training in our lives. Those who do not certainly know who they are.
As for the rest of us, getting into shape is instant. Well, that is if you want to live a long and healthy life without the burdens of high cholesterol, heart disease, obesity, and heart failure.
Yeah, you pretty much heard me correctly. This is why I adopted a great fitness training program.
Both of us changed significantly when we started our new way of living tow years ago. The fitness training has not only toned our muscles and reduced our weight, but it has also improved our self esteem. I didn't realize myself having a low self esteemed before starting fitness training, but i realize that many of the decision in my life have centered on my weight. I have been involved with countless diets over the years. I have arthritis so I often used this as a reason to not consistently exercise. All of that changed by being motivated to help my daughter and by finding fitness training that was right for me.
After we started dieting, my daughter and I joined a health club. The club employs several personal trainers, but we thought we would develop our own program. One day as when we started using the fitness equipment one of the trainers started giving my daughter tips on her posture as she was using the treadmill and started talking to us about important posture in fitness training. He also told us that we should include weight lifting to build strength in our upper bodies. My daughter thought it would be fun to have a full fitness training session with the personal trainer so we signed up for a time the next week.
And that was the beginning of our transformations. Having a professional guiding us was extremely helpful. We worked harder at the fitness training while at the club and we were more motivated to walk and bike on the days that we were at home. After two years we have both lost weight and have toned our muscles. e have also grown much closer to each other because we openly discuss the concerns about our weight. I believe that the fitness training kept us motivated at first and now the positive effects of the weight loss are keeping us committed to our new way of life.
We all know that it is possible to love your fitness training regime. I integrated a regular training ritual into my weekly fitness training program. This offers me better self-defense skills and a good cardio workout. For all you guys out there, this is the ultimate way to bulge up. And NO it's not steroids! The funny thing about steroids is that a lot of guys take them and don't even gain any muscle mass whatsoever. You need to do some heavy weight training to get stacked. You have to push those muscles and empty them that will causes the fibers to tear and grow back bigger and stronger.
It's funny because not too long ago I changed my fitness training program. After doing some intense research on the web, i have found out that i was doing too much. Can you believe that? I needed to cut my weight training. I pushed it to the limits with three chest exercises and a total of 12 sets. This was wrong! Not the exercises or sets themselves, but the three times per week. I should have been doing this once each week. Your muscles need that 7 day period in between to heal and grow. Without proper recovery, you're wasting your time.

Is it Really Possible to Lose Weight With Diet Patches?

Rando MeresmaaThe diet patch is another one of those hyped weight loss products. The diet patch supposedly melts fat away from your tummy, arm, or thighs no matter what you eat. But does it really do all of those things. Can the various diet patches actually deliver the ingredients they claim to, and whether those ingredients are effectively delivered through the skin transdermally?
Although there are many different types of patches on the market, most contain a blend of four main ingredients:
Guarana: often standardized for caffeine, a stimulant which has mild fat burning or thermogenic properties. It's also an antioxidant and a diuretic.
Chromium: useful to help regulate insulin function and balance blood sugar levels. In other words, it is useful for the treatment of many of the characteristics of the disorder that is often called "metabolic syndrome."
Garcinia cambogia (standardized for HCA -- hydroxycitric acid): touted to prevent the conversion of carbohydrates into fat by inhibiting the action of the enzyme citrate lyase.
Although there has been some promising results shown with HCA, a study published Journal of the American Medical Association showed that HCA supplementation failed to produce any measurable weight loss. The study focused on 135 overweight individuals for a 3 month period.
Fucus vesiculosus (or bladderwrack or brown seaweed): touted by the diet patch makers to burn fat, bladderwrack contains a high concentration of iodine. Iodine is used by the thyroid gland to make the various thyroid hormones necessary for optimal performance.
Are any of these ingredients scientifically proven to help you lose weight to begin with? Second, does the over-the-counter patch effectively deliver the ingredients through the skin the same as the prescription drug patches? I would say in almost every case the answers are no and no.
Here are some facts about diet patches:
In 1988, The FDA seized a supply of Appetoff patches, which were nothing more than circular band aids that instructed users to place a drop of supposed fat-burning liquid on it. The patches were tested and found to contain no active ingredients.
In March 2004, Peel Away the Pounds settled with the FTC, agreeing to pay back more than one million dollars to ripped off consumers after being charged that they made false and unsubstantiated claims about their weight loss patch, such as three to five pounds per week in weight loss.
In November 2004, Illinois attorney general Lisa Madigan filed a lawsuit against a Nevada corporation, Diet Patch, Inc., for luring consumers to their website with false claims and free trial offers for their diet patch. They were charged with multiple violations of the consumer fraud and deceptive business practices act.
In January 2006, A Michigan man was sentenced to two years in jail after being charged with sending millions of spam email messages to sell phony diet aids including the Avatar diet patch.
The FTC says that diet patches have never been shown to be safe or effective and never received FDA approval. And if you ate right and exercised right, you would not need them even if they did work and you could save your money! Spend it on better food and a gym membership or home gym equipment.

Jennifer JolanHere is the easiest way to lose 3 lbs. Even if you think it's not the easiest, it's still pretty darn easy. I'm going to give you a glimpse into my life... the life of a former trainer and now online weight loss consultant. You're going to SEE EXACTLY what I do... today, right now... before and after I write this article.
Easiest Way to Lose 3 lbs...
Here's the thing. I write a bunch of articles on weight loss and exercise. Before and after them I usually do 2 specific things to help me stay fit, lean, and healthy.
So right before I wrote this article, I did 20 spins. Now, I've been doing spins for years... so YOU should NOT do 20 spins. Try 5... or at most 10.
So why do I do these?
I do them because they help keep my hormones in proper balance. You see, when your hormones are unbalanced, they cause so many health problems for you. Least of which... you have ALMOST no shot at losing weight. It doesn't matter if your diet is spot-on and exercising for an hour a day doesn't change the fact you won't lose any weight as long as your hormones aren't properly aligned.
How do I do these spins? Simple... arms out... spin around in a circle while standing in the same area. Do this now while I take a drink of my Stevia water. Hmm... bet your body gave a strong and powerful reaction to what you just did! Either a big energy boost or a kinda feeling of sickness.
If so... GOOD! You did it right then. You'll get use to the spins and balance your hormones in the process which in turn will help you to lose weight.
Next.... after my article. Just to let you know, I'm about ready to finish typing out this article.
But what do I do after I'm done. EASY... I jump on my mini-trampoline for 3 minutes. It's right here next to my desk.
The mini-trampoline is a great total body exercise even though you primarily feel it in your legs. Side benefit... it's great for decreasing the appearance of cellulite. Be consistent. I use the mini-trampoline for about 30 minutes a day... but for you, try to get a minimum of 20 minutes in. I do jumping jacks on it.
So there you go. You got a glimpse at what I do daily. I know you may have to change things around a bit, but I hope this opens up your eyes to perhaps the easiest way to lose 3 lbs and much much more.

Lower insulin levels are directly related to diabetes; insulin is a hormone that helps us to store excess glucose. When glucose is not stored and that could result in diabetes. When we wake up in the morning, the stress hormones in our body (cortisol) are very high. One function of cortisol is to convert proteins to glucose. Excess glucose gets converted to fat. Prolonged period of skipping breakfast will result in a lot of our body muscles breaking down and getting converted to fats.

Obviously, if you are on eating to add mass, you DO want to exercise regularly, including lots of weight training to boot.

Most of us start one of these programs for weight loss! In the case of a diet like Medifast for example, exercise is NOT necessarily as important for weight loss as it may be on another diet.

Lose Weight Quickly - Losing Weight Quickly With Exercise

Rikard IngvarssonLosing weight quickly is a dream of almost each one of us but the fact remains that you really have to put in a lot of effort and hard work to actually do that. So for your help I have tried to do some research and have found out that losing weight quickly with exercise and proper diet is perhaps the only way to lose weight successfully.
What I think works is high intensity training, be it cardio or strength training; it really tops the list. Circuit style weight training or high intensity cardio training is what will shape and tone up muscles and will assist in weight loss as well. You just have to give twenty minutes to each session to make it successful. If you can manage the initial twenty minutes then you can gradually increase it up to thirty minutes per day as well. Now for this intensity training, five to seven times per week would be essentially the best. But remember you must start every such training session with a five minutes warm up session to bring your body into exercise mode. Also never end abruptly, always try to end your session with a little easy activity so that your heart goes back to normal. So the main part should always be of at least from twenty to forty minutes, depending on how much you can take it. I know it must be sounding extremely easy to you right now, but trust me, it is certainly not. The secret is to just keep on pushing yourself for more as if you are satisfied with what you are doing, your progress will just end there. Try and do something that will take your breath away completely and will leave you out of breath as you really can't aim for quick fat loss if you are opting for all those light exercises. You could do a lot of things that will give you the desired results, just have to think about it and decide what suits best to you. You should do each of these workouts at least five to six times a week and try and do different exercises after every other week as if your body gets too used to one sort of exercise, they will not remain very effective. Always keep your body in a state of constant confusion in order for you to lose weight quickly as in this way your body won't be able to adapt to any changes at all.
So you don't need any special exercising material to lose weight, all you need is a lot of will power and definitely an incentive strong enough to let you get through those massive hunger pangs that you will face. Just try to stick to it for just around two weeks and you will start seeing results coming. So I hope that you all will be losing weight quickly with exercise that is intense workout of cardio exercises or strength training, whichever you think is effective!

The Gudelines in Order to Burn Stomach Fat

Brendan HarrisThe basic principle behind burning body fat is to use more calories per day than you intake, and to burn stomach fat you need to employ the same strategy. For example, if you require 3000 calories a day to perform your daily tasks and you intake only 2500 calories then your body must break down the fat reserves in your body to retrieve the necessary calories required for that day's tasks. Conversely if you intake 3500 calories on that particular day then your body will convert the extra 500 calories into body fat and store it for later consumption.
Let's explore these scenarios further. In the first example we had a 500 calorie a day deficit to fill. Since there are roughly 3500 calories in each pound of body fat, you could lose a pound of fat a week by this process (500 cal/day x 7 days/week = 3500 calories or 1 lb body fat). That would put you well on your away to achieving your goal to burn stomach fat. Conversely, if you are consuming 500 extra calories a day in one week you could gain a pound of body fat.
Using our established principle let's maximize our weight loss potential. We want to boost the amount of calories required a day and lower our caloric intake. One of the best ways in which to boost your metabolism is exercise. The 2 major types of exercise are cardio-vascular and weight-training. Used in conjunction they can significantly raise your metabolism rate. After a one-hour cardio session the body will continue to burn calories for about an hour before stabilizing and a one-hour weight-training session will cause your body to continue burning fat for up to 24 hours!
Using these guidelines you can begin to track your caloric intake versus your metabolism rate and make changes to help turn your body into a fat-burning machine, helping you burn stomach fat. Here is a simple chart to help gauge where you may be right now:
Physical Activity - Caloric Needs
Office job-stationary 8-10 hours a day - 1900-2300 calories
Retail job-mobile 4-6 hours a day - 2200-2500 calories
Construction-mobile 8-10 hours a day - 2500-2900 calories

Jennifer JolanHere are some quick diets... specifically, their rules, to consider if you want to lose weight at an ACCELERATED rate without having to deprive yourself or suffer. These are an outline that you can use to base your diets off of. The power is in the flexibility.
Quick Diets - The Rules to Follow
1. Use cheap source of protein that don't take forever to cook
For this, eggs, tuna, and black beans are easily the top choices. Eggs and black beans each take 5 minutes or less to make. Tuna... you just pop open the can.
I'll tell you how I use this rule. I use eggs as the main meal for breakfast and I use a half can of black beans with them. For lunch, I use tuna as the main source of the meal and I add 1/2 can of black beans to that as well.
Add to these to meals as you wish, just as long as you don't get TOO unhealthy with your choices. Breakfast and lunch are quick and healthy. Easy so far, right?
One tip... if you don't like the taste of any of those 3 things, don't NOT use them. Instead, use spices and other foods to flavor them up and change the tastes a bit. I don't particularly like tuna, so I add in small chopped up pieces of celery, onions, green peppers, etc.
2. Base your snacks off foods that are high in protein, fiber, or water content
This gives you a lot of flexibility in how you diet... and make it quick. Hey, we're all busy. Gotta do this stuff quick. So examples of good foods to choose for snacks would be apples (#1 in my opinion), protein bars (watch the sugar in them), string cheese, beef jerky (not too much), and 5-10 black olives.
As you can see, combining these 2 tips, you can create quick diets that will give you faster weight loss.
